About Yokosuka Christian School
Our Multi-Level Teaching Method
Multi-level teaching or multi-age classrooms are classrooms with students from more than one grade level and involve teaching students of multiple grade levels at once. In schools, this is often referred to as differentiation or composite classes and involves teaching the same objectives to various learners at different levels, essentially teaching the same concepts at the same time, while providing grade-specific content at levels suitable to the students. Studies of the performance of students in composite classes show their academic performance is not substantially different from those in single-grade classrooms; instead, outcomes tend to be a function of the teacher's performance.
