Dear Families and Visitors,
It is my joy to welcome you to Yokosuka Christian Academy, a school committed to nurturing young minds, training up faithful disciples, and inspiring a lifelong love of learning.
My love for Christian education began in 2020 when I started working at Yokohama Christian School (YCS). After following the Lord’s leading and leaving my five-year position as a nuclear engineer on the Yokosuka Navy Base, serving at YCS was a breath of fresh air. I had the privilege of instilling a biblical worldview in children, witnessing some give their lives to Christ, and praying countless times with and for my precious students.
In 2025, the Lord placed a burden on my heart to start a Christian school in Yokosuka, a city without any English-speaking Christian school. Through months of prayer, the Lord opened doors and confirmed the need. Today, more than 100 people are praying with me for Yokosuka Christian Academy. This school, website, and even you reading this page are all answers to prayer—a testimony to the faithfulness of our God, who is building this house, for “Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain” (Psalm 127:1a).
We at Yokosuka Christian Academy believe every child is a gift from God (Psalm 127:3) and has the potential to grow, discover, and make a positive difference in the world. Through quality education grounded in Christian values, we strive to provide a safe, caring, and encouraging environment where students can develop academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
At Yokosuka Christian Academy, learning goes beyond the classroom. We encourage curiosity, creativity, kindness, and perseverance while helping our students develop the confidence to explore new opportunities and the compassion to care for others. Our dedicated staff work closely with families to support each child’s individual journey.
